EXPERIENCE

With over 20 years in the film industry, Brad Tobler brings a rare, full-spectrum perspective to the craft of storytelling. From his early days as an actor to becoming an editor and VFX artist on some of Hollywood’s biggest franchises, including Stranger Things, Star Wars, Yellowstone and Avatar. Brad has built a career by mastering both the art and the workflow behind the scenes.

GOAL

Now a director, educator, and the founder of The Backlot, Brad’s passion is helping the next generation of filmmakers develop real-world skills that actually translate into working in the industry. His deep experience across performance, post-production, and directing gives him a uniquely practical and holistic approach to teaching, one that you simply won’t find in film school or on YouTube.
